REBECCA KDT JU Project Presented at HiPEAC 2026 Conference in Kraków

8–12 June 2026

From 26–28 January 2026, the REBECCA KDT JU project was presented at the HiPEAC 2026 Conference in Kraków, Poland, during the workshop “MCS: Mixed Critical Systems – Safe Intelligent CPS and the Development Cycle.”
The HiPEAC Conference brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and research communities in the fields of computer architecture, programming models, compilers, and operating systems for general-purpose, embedded, and cyber-physical systems. The event featured a wide range of associated workshops, tutorials, special sessions, poster sessions, and an industrial exhibition, providing an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Representing the REBECCA project, Ferran Vicent Martí from project partner FENTISS showcased key aspects of the initiative, including the underwater drone use case and recent technical developments. Particular attention was given to the project’s work on dynamic resource allocation solutions powered by Kubernetes, demonstrating approaches for enhancing flexibility, efficiency, and reliability in complex computing environments.
During the session, FENTISS also shared insights from two complementary EU-funded projects, EdgeAI-Trust and ISOLDE Project, highlighting innovative approaches towards trustworthy, secure, and safety-critical systems.
Participation in HiPEAC 2026 provided a valuable opportunity for REBECCA to engage with the wider European research and innovation community and contribute to discussions on the future of safe and intelligent critical systems. The conference’s focus on areas such as safety, cybersecurity, energy efficiency, and machine learning strongly aligns with the objectives of the REBECCA project and its mission to advance dependable computing solutions for next-generation cyber-physical systems.
It was a pleasure to see REBECCA represented within the HiPEAC community and to exchange ideas with experts working towards the development of secure, intelligent, and resilient computing technologies.
